The CONTECH® FR‑31Q single elongated U‑frame / dovetail foundation is a welded securing fitting designed for installation on the side of vessel hatch covers. Built with a 45° angled dovetail profile, it provides a reliable interface for container‑securing systems and is engineered to match the structural movements occurring between the hatch cover and the stanchion.
This elongated version allows extra horizontal tolerance, ensuring smooth engagement of the twistlock even when the hatch cover and container support structure shift under sea conditions. It is used in combination with compatible bottom twistlocks such as the B‑45, B‑45LL, and B‑46, enabling secure locking of standard container corner castings.
