T-7 Semi-automatic twistlock with double wire
The CONTECH® T‑7 Semi‑automatic Twistlock with Double Wire is designed to securely connect two ISO containers stacked vertically, providing a reliable and efficient container‑to‑container locking solution for maritime and intermodal transport.
When the upper container is placed onto the lower container, the semi‑automatic locking mechanism engages automatically under the container’s weight, locking the cones into the corner castings without the need for manual activation. This ensures fast and safe connecting during loading operations.
The double wire release system allows controlled unlocking of either the top or bottom cone from a safe position. By pulling the corresponding wire, the crew can release the twistlock during discharge operations without having to access hazardous areas between stacked containers, improving operational safety.
